Mischief Managed!

I'd say that our apartment is pretty well baby-proofed, with the obvious exception noted in the last post.  A friend that stayed with us awhile ago commented how good it was that we were keeping Parker safe.  Uh, yes, safe, that's it.  Riiiiiight.  Of course we keep doors that have chemicals, knives, etc. locked, but for the most part it's actually because it's much easier to keep things clean and organized that can't be accessed by toddler hands.

The lock on our refrigerator broke last week and it took Parker all of four hours to find out.  It's now his favorite place to play.  Many things have been pulled out and spilled out onto the floor and once he slipped in the juice of some peaches that spilled, which I thought would be a deterrent from further play, but he seems to have forgotten.

Sometimes he likes to try and close the door on himself and hide in the fridge.  He'll say "bye bye!" and then a moment later, "Boo!"  Other times he'll just sit on the shelf and tell himself a story.

He's going to be so sad once the new lock arrives in the mail.

oh...memories. We used to keep ours locked using a bungee cord. Once a friend came over and when he tried to get in the fridge he had to ask us for help.

is that yogurt he's eating! I'm sooo surprise ;-)

We have lots of child locks too - in fact most of the time I start a garbage pile on the counter instead of opening the cabinet each time. gross. I need to be less-lazy.
