Hunger Games
I made a few of these reusable shopping bags as favors for a Hunger Games party we had awhile ago, but used it for the first time just a few days ago. I love it! A HUGE shout out to my bff Jenni for helping me- I couldn't have done it without her. Thanks Foofer!

Frienemies
Today Parker is not my friend. It's been a busy week and I had lots of errands to catch up on today. In an act of rebellion and maliciousness, Parker took my keys and won't divulge their hiding spot. He loves getting out of the apartment, so I guess the joke's on him. I've often said jokingly that it's a good thing Parker's so cute or else we would have given him away a long time ago. Maybe I'm not joking today...

Update: Paul found my keys in the toaster. Don't worry, it was unplugged and in the pantry.

Big Boy
Yesterday I babysat a little boy in our ward that Parker absolutely adores. After about 60 seconds of gently patting Austyn, Parker started to poke him in the eye. Aghhhhh, I knew it was going to be a long day. I got our baby swing out from the storage closet so that Austyn would be out of the reach of Parker's inquisitive fingers. After Austyn went home it Parker's turn for a ride. He loved it and probably spent 30 minutes rocking back and forth and watching the birds fly above his head. I couldn't believe how big Parker looked compared to the last time he used the swing.

CicLAvia
"CicLAvia temporarily removes cars from L.A. streets- and the streets fill up with smiles!"

We saddled up the old bikes once again for Los Angeles' CicLAvia- LA's initiative to clear the air of stinky exhaust and open up the streets to cyclists. This time there were 10 miles of open roads that began just a block from our apartment. I guess it's as close to a relaxing afternoon family bike ride that we'll get in these parts.
Look! No cars!

But, in true LA fashion, still lots of traffic.

This young man has really been burning the candle at both ends lately. Someone needs to tell his parents to stop having so much fun so he can get some rest in his nice comfy crib.
