Check Out What I'm Growing...

A baby Fjeldsted! It sure has come a long way in its first weeks of life. I'm now 17 weeks and feeling great... mostly. The first 12 weeks proved to be fairly uneventful. I never threw up, but did feel queasy on occasion and desired only the blandest of food. Plain baked potato or pasta with butter for dinner? Yes, please! And then there were the marathon sleep hours, waking up to pee, swollen abdomen, headaches, and gas. But really, it wasn't too bad and still isn't. Most of my clothes are feeling pretty tight these days, and I'm looking forward to when I actually look pregnant and not just chubby.

We'll find out the gender in three weeks, and I think then it will actually seem more real that we're having a baby!! I'm due March 4th, which seems like an eternity from now, but I'm sure it will be here before we know it. We're really excited to meet whoever I'm cookin' up inside! :) I welcome any advice you want to give to a first time mama.

Congrats!! That is such fun news! My bday is March 4th...so it's a great day for sure! ;) My piece of advice: read "Happiest Baby on the Block". It has some funny/weird testimonials in there, but reading that was the best thing we did. Swaddling still ranks very top on my list of things to do with a newborn - it saved us for the first three months at least! Macie slept through the night at 5 weeks and I attribute it to the swaddling. Also, the Aden & Anais blankets are the BEST for swaddling (a little pricey, but OH so worth it!)

Anyway, you're going to be such a great mommy! Best wishes with the rest of the pregnancy - you're right...it will fly by! I'm so excited to hear about more updates!

Yeay Court. So much fun. Any mother's intuition about the gender? I'm obviously hoping you are having a boy but only so our sons would grow up to be best friends like our husbands :) wouldn't that be adorable? So glad you weren't very sick, lucky girl! I bet the time will fly. Hopefully we will be out to visit again soon and see your tummy progress!
